Why Mobile Baykeeper?
Mobile Baykeeper is a Mobile nonprofit that's been defending the waters of Coastal Alabama since 1997 — Mobile Bay, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, and the creeks and bayous our families fish, swim, and crab in. Their team tests the water at swim spots across Mobile and Baldwin counties every week and publishes the results, rebuilds oyster reefs and seagrass beds, and stands up to pollution so the next generation inherits a cleaner bay than we did. Their goal says it plain: nobody should have to wonder if the fish are safe to eat or the water is safe to swim in.
